Though we have heard of companies using Windstrips® to secure 15 lb. tarpaper with excellent results we do not reccommend it. This is in part due to the degradation of the tarpaper over time from sun damage; 30 lb. will withstand the sun longer. The chance of wind damage that is not due to the failure of the Windstrips® increases significantly with the use of 15 lb. tarpaper.
