Windstrips® were independently tested against plastic-capped nails by Architectural Testing in Drury, PA, in March 2005. Windstrips® took only 10 minutes to install while capped Nails took 20 minutes. Also note that the 5 minute gusts withstood by Windstrips® at 110 mph have been shown by the Florida Building Department as equivalent to the building code test speed of 130 mph for 3 seconds.
